Welcome to St.
John Pastor Schultz
and Family |
John Schultz was born May 10, 1986 in
Belleville, Illinois, the first child of Rev. Martin and
Ruth Schultz. He was baptized into the Christian faith at
St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud on May 25, 1986 by his
grandfather. John began his elementary education in
Danville, Illinois. And then attended Trinity Lutheran
School in Edwardsville, Illinois. He graduated in 2004 from
Metro-East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, Illinois. n
2008 he graduated from Concordia University, Chicago,
Illinois with a teaching degree in secondary education and
his major in mathematics.
On June 28, 2008, John married Sarah Elizabeth Kleist,
daughter of Steven and Joanne Kleist of Richfield,Minnesota. Sarah, also a
graduate of Concordia, Chicago, has
taught at Faith Lutheran, Godfrey and
Good Shepherd Lutheran, Collinsville
while John studied at the Seminary.
John entered Concordia Seminary, St.
Louis, Missouri in August of 2008.
Field work education was served at Faith
Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church. Vicarage was completed
at Grace Lutheran Church in Winter
Haven, Florida.
On November 15, 2010 John and Sarah were
blessed by God with their daughter
Miriam Anne. They have announced that
they are expecting their second child in
December.
John graduated from the
Seminary on May 18, 2012. |
